Childrens Burial Ground

Children's burial ground

What is recorded here

Childrens Burial Ground occupies the north half of a Galway rath, marked only by loose uninscribed stones that may be displaced grave-markers. The absence of writing forces imagination to complete what measurement stopped short of, turning bare rock into a chamber where unnamed young lives still breathe.
Within the N half of the interior of a rath (GA098-070----). All that survives are some loose uninscribed stones that are possibly displaced grave-markers. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 25 January 2017

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
