What is recorded here
Childrens Burial Ground lies hidden inside a Galway ringfort, named on old maps and local tradition but stripped of visible trace. It is a ghost address, a child-sized absence the land still remembers even when the soil gives nothing back.
Within a ringfort (GA026-004----). Though named on OS 6-inch maps and known in local tradition as a CBG, no visible surface trace of it survives.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
