What is recorded here
Lisheen holds a children's burial ground where young lives ended before records or praise. The place belongs to County Mayo and to the forgotten dead who never entered stories. Its loss is not an exception; it is the ordinary fate of small people in regions that valued strength and numbers. Remembering it without inventing heroism is clearer than turning tragedy into decoration.
