What is recorded here
Children's burial ground associated with 'Templeen' (KE028-004003-) church described by Kelly (1999, 463) as 'a burial ground [KE028-004012-] seems to have existed on the south side of the church [KE028-004003-], as evidenced by human bones having been accidently turned up in ploughing there many years ago, and not connected with the use of part of the ground as a children's cemetery less than a century ago.' No surface trace of the Children's burial ground was noted and the interior of the church was inaccessible due to overgrowth. Ecclesiastical Remains entered onto the Register of Historic Monuments on 28 February 1992. See Iris Oifigiúil, 28th February, 1992, Schedule 1/92.
