Eight infant skeletons emerged around the Nevinstown wayside cross, turning local memory into fact. The children belonged to nobody visible now, yet their small bones still cluster where adults once set them down. The cross stands above them like a marker for forgotten grief, waiting for someone to remember why so many tiny lives ended together.

Located in the vicinity of the plinth of the wayside cross (ME025-013----). The remains of eight infants and young children were recovered around the plinth, confirming local traditions of its use as a Children's Burial Ground (Cahill 1987-8).
