What is recorded here
Moneylea’s children’s burial ground lies in rough grazing east of the public road, facing south toward Coolmountain and a close rock face. A local resident pointed to the place, yet no marker or boundary remains visible today. The absence does not diminish the claim; it invites imagination about young lives lost before records kept their names.
Area of rough grazing immediately to the east of the public road. The land is south facing, overlooking the valley of Moneylea and Coolmountain with a rock face close to the east. This piece of land was known locally as a Children's Burial Ground and indicated by a local resident. Today there is no evidence for burial markers or any enclosing feature.
