What is recorded here

Immediately outside the southern edge of a Galway ringfort, a small triangular field holds rows of undressed stones marking children's graves. Local tradition claims the last burial happened near 1940, long after written records usually fade. The sharp scarp rising nearly two metres suggests the community protected this quiet corner with deliberate care.

Immediately outside S sector of a ringfort (GA060-174----). It consists of a small triangular area (NNW-SSE 17m, WSW-ENE 6m) defined along NW side by a low bank and elsewhere by a scarp up to 1.8m in height. A number of small undressed grave-markers are visible in the interior, particularly in N sector where they are aligned in rows indicating graves oriented NE-SW.
