Droim Snámha hides a children's burial ground beside a holy well, marked only by local tradition rather than visible stones. Penal times forced families to bury young lives in that quiet earth, and the last such burial belonged to a young Protestant girl in the early 20th century. The ground still belongs to memory, holding the deleted children of Galway beneath ordinary soil.
