Toberfeheen was a holy well in hilly Galway countryside where two small streams met, but the living water vanished before 1899, leaving only a small pool, a little waterfall and a massive boulder in the bank. Local tradition claims the well cured sore eyes, suggesting people once travelled to that exact spot seeking relief. The disappearance of the main well turns the remaining pool into a residual trace, as if the landscape kept a small part of the old ritual while withdrawing the rest.

In hilly countryside close to the td. boundary and the confluence of two small streams. This holy well, correctly Tobar Fechín, is indicated on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map but was evidently gone by time of 2nd ed. (1899), when the words 'Site of' are appended. All that is visible today is a small pool with a little waterfall and a massive boulder in the bank. According to local tradition, the well had a cure for sore eyes. Toberfeheen (Tobar Fechín) is traditionally associated with Saint Fechín, a 7th-century Irish monk and founder of Fore Abbey in County Westmeath, known for his ascetic practices and healing miracles.
