Kyle burial ground in Castlequarter, County Kerry, disappeared between the 1841-42 and 1914 OS maps, leaving no surface trace today. Children likely rested there near the River Shannon, their small bodies returned to soil that has since been levelled for other uses. The absence is not emptiness; it is a reminder that even forgotten places held life, loss, and love before humans erased them.

This site is marked on the 1841-42 OS map as 'Kyle burial ground' but does not appear on the later 1914 OS map. Today, this burial ground has been completely levelled and no surface trace remains.
