Children died young in Castlegrove West and the adults laid them beside the ringfort, marking each small body with a stone before grass swallowed the shape. The burial ground remains a narrow trapezoid just north of the fortress centre, preserving the urgency and tenderness of that repeated loss.

Within a ringfort (GA029-047----). An unenclosed trapezoidal area (N-S c. 14m, E-W c. 4.6m) just N of centre of ringfort. Within it, grassed-over small set stones are visible.
