What is recorded here
Children's burial ground in Carrigavisteal is a children's burial ground in Carrigavisteal, County Tipperary, Ireland. Power wrote in 1908 that a rock platform east of the road at Cúil Carraige may mark an early church site and that unbaptised children were buried there within living memory. The exact spot remains unlocated within the townland.
According to Power (1908, 64) within Carrigavisteal there is a 'Cúil Carraige-"Rock Corner"; a sub-division including a rock platform (to east of road) on which appears to be a cill or early church site. At any rate unbaptised children were buried here within living memory'. It remains unlocated within the townland.
