Half a metre high and barely five metres across, the Caltragh children's burial ground sits low in scrubland, its randomly placed stones still marking tiny graves beneath the grass. Locals call it a lisheen, a name that sounds like a whisper rather than a warning. The mound has survived every plough and storm because nobody wanted to touch the places where small bodies first returned to the earth.

In scrubland. A low irregular grassed-over stone mound (N-S 5m, E-W 5m, H 0.6m) within which a number of randomly placed set stones indicate graves. It is known locally as a 'lisheen'.
