Ballyvicmaha holds a children's burial ground inside an ancient rath, where local tradition says small lives were laid to rest. A low oblong heap of stones sits slightly north of the centre, possibly marking one grave or merely clearing stones from cultivation ridges. The distinction between memory and soil remains uncertain, giving the place a quiet sadness rather than a proven tragedy.

In a rath (MA038-075). According to local tradition, the interior of the rath was used as a children’s burial ground. Slightly to N of centre there is a low oblong heap (6m E–W; 3-4m N–S; H 0.4m) of stones, possibly marking a grave. However, it may simply be a clearance cairn associated with cultivation ridges which traverse the rath interior on a roughly E–W axis.
