Children died young in Ballinphuil and were buried inside the ringfort, their small bodies returned to the earth before they could form memories of the sky. The community kept the grave separate from adult death, as if childhood needed its own boundary even after life ended. That distinction still shapes the place, marking it as a threshold where innocence crossed into soil rather than forgetting.

Within a ringfort (GA057-029----). According to local tradition, the interior of the monument was used as a 'lisheen' until fairly recently. No visible surface trace survives.
