CHILDREN BURIAL GROUND (unlocated) in Tavnaghmore

CHILDREN BURIAL GROUND (unlocated)

What is recorded here

Children died young in Tavnaghmore during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and their burial ground has vanished from the visible landscape. The land may still hold small bones beneath grass, farm soil or forgotten ground, waiting for someone gentle enough to listen. What is missing is not nothing. It is a child’s life removed from the world before it finished learning the shape of joy.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CHILDREN BURIAL GROUND (unlocated). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN; C18TH/C19TH. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
