What is recorded here

Charles Moore died in Dublin at ninety-two in 1822, closing a life that stretched from boyhood colours at Culloden to quiet command of Irish ordnance. He was not a passing politician but a soldier who kept entering government until gunpowder, brass and men still answered through him. Even his marriage to Lady Anne Seymour-Conway came after first blood, as if victory had taught him before love that the world must be held, not merely watched.
