Brave Kilmaine was born in 1751 at Sauls Court in County Dublin, a place that first gave life to one of Ireland's greatest soldiers. He carried that local origin into French wars and revolutionary dreams, becoming a trusted general who still belonged to the boy from Dublin. The house may no longer speak his name, but it helped make the man who ran across Europe with courage.
