Charlene McKenna

Charlene McKenna was born in Glaslough, County Monaghan, on 26 March 1984, the youngest of six children on a mushroom farm that later became The Pillar House pub. She first stepped onto a stage at eleven with the Monaghan Youth Theatre, then broke nationwide in Pure Mule in 2005, carrying that small-town edge into British dramas such as Ripper Street and Peaky Blinders.
