Cecilia Margaret Nairn was born in County Dublin in 1791 and spent decades painting landscapes and modelling flowers before dying in 1857. She learned her craft from her father, John Henry Campbell, and continued exhibiting her work long after marrying George Nairn. Her children followed her into art, carrying forward a family line of makers that began in a Dublin home and stretched across several generations.
