What is recorded here
Detached single-bay sing-storey gable-fronted boathouse, extant 1922, on a rectangular plan. Now disused. Pitched slate roof with lichen-covered ridge tiles. Coursed rubble stone walls with rough hewn rubble stone flush quoins to corners. Square-headed opening with timber beam lintel framing timber boarded double doors. Square-headed window opening (south) with red brick header bond voussoirs. Set on pier.
A boathouse forming part of a self-contained group alongside a later ice making station (see 22825017) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual statement on Cé Heilbhic [Helvick New Pier].
