Caves

Within the S half of a multivallate rath (GA104-052----). This well-preserved rectangular drystone-built Man-made underground passage consists of a chamber (L 9.9m; Wth 1.1m; H 1.2m), running NNW-SSE, in the SE quadrant of the interior of the rath. Access is gained at its SSE end. An air-vent is evident in the NNW end wall and a small recess is visible at the N end of the E wall. In the SW quadrant, an inaccessible passage (L c. 8.8m; Wth 1.9m) runs N-S. The present entrance at its S end is now blocked.
