Cave

This Man-made underground passage, marked 'Cave' on the OS maps, is situated on the lower S slopes of Knocknadobar mountain, overlooking the Ferta river and its estuary at SW. The lintelled entrance to the Man-made underground passage is located in the S side of the W end of a 15m long E-W bank, and measures .8m x .45m. It gives access to the E end of a 4.5m long, downward-sloping, drystone-walled passage, aligned E-W, which is roofed by a series of large slabs. It is blocked by collapse at W.
