The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Discovered during building operations. The Man-made underground passage consists of a drystone built passage and chamber (total L 13m) aligned E-W. The chamber (L 5m, Wth 2m, H 1.7m) has an air-vent (L 0.3m, Wth 0.15m, H 0.2m) in the E wall (CLAJ 1955, 28; CLAJ 1956, 44-5). Now closed.
