What is recorded here

In a rath (KE059-011----). There are no visible remains of this Man-made underground passage. It was recorded in the 1840s as 'Clashnagurraun Cavern' and described as 'very spacious [and] having several apartments' (OSNB, Kilcummin, no. 3, 25). Its entrance was described as being 'in the centre of the Fort' (ibid.). It is named 'Cave' on the 1846 OS 6-inch map.
