Ballymaglancy Cave is a 726-metre limestone passage west of Cong where lesser horseshoe bats still roost in darkness. The townland name points to a human family, perhaps the Clancy or Glancy line, giving its identity to the place before surveyors drew its border. Water cut the cave through Carboniferous rock, and the bats returned to keep its chambers alive.

In the NE quadrant of a rath (GA106-045----). A largely collapsed drystone-built Man-made underground passage (L c. 13m) running roughly N-S. Only a short section (L 4m; Wth 1.3m) at the S end remains intact and an air-vent is evident in the S wall. Otherwise a grassy hollow indicates the line of the passage.
