What is recorded here

On a rise in gently undulating pastureland, within a relict field system (CL009-004001-) and a larger multiperiod field system (CL008-109001-). Labelled 'Cave' in Gothic script on the 1842 and 1920 eds. of the OS 6-inch map, and marked as a Man-made underground passage on Robinson's (1977) map. No visible trace of a Man-made underground passage is obvious but large limestone slabs and smaller stones are visible intermittently in an overgrown area (c. 6m x c. 6m) beside a pond.
