Causeway in Canon Island,inishloe,river Fergus

Between Canon Island and Inishloe Island in the Fergus Estuary. Described by O’Sullivan et al. (2010) as follows: ‘A causeway connects Canon Island with Inishloe at low tide. It is at least 600m in length. It appears to form a curved line between the two islands. The causeway is marked on Henry Pelhams map of County Clare 1787.
