Castletown Primary School stands on the south-east approach to Castletown, its central stone building dating from circa 1875. Children may have watched the new wind turbine turn above the western boundary, learning that even a small village school can harnes the Highland wind. The old slate roofs and modern turbine share one purpose: to keep the place alive for the next generation.
