What is recorded here

Castlelaw is a twentieth-century boundary marker in Midlothian, set beside older fort remains and military ranges. It marks the edge of a training area where human activity has layered itself across centuries. The land holds both recorded history and lived use, visible in its contours and restricted purpose.
