What is recorded here

Castlelaw Hill holds a post-medieval enclosure and a possible hut above the busy training grounds, where military noise still chokes the valley below. The hill may have given people a small, defensible place to live before guns and vehicles took the land for themselves. Even if no name survives for those first inhabitants, the earth keeps their shape, waiting for someone to walk it quietly and imagine the hands that built it.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlelaw Hill as Enclosure (post Medieval), Hut (post Medieval)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
