Gateway, extant 1839, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of granite ashlar piers on chamfered plinths having cornices on blind friezes below block pyramidal capping with granite ashlar outer piers having cornices on blind friezes supporting wrought iron railings. Road fronted.
A gateway making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at the entrance on to the wooded pleasure grounds of the Castlecomer House estate.
