What is recorded here

Walled garden, extant 1840, on a rectangular plan with coursed rubble stone boundary wall to perimeter having overgrown coping. Now disused. Set in grounds shared with Castleboro House.
A substantial, albeit neglected walled garden contributing positively to the group and setting values of the Castleboro House estate. NOTE: No evidence survives of the 'handsome and lofty conservatory [with] a grapery extending west [and] a peachery of similar extent [extending] east' (Lacy 1852, 245).

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
