What is recorded here
Castle an Teenie still hides somewhere near Portrush, remembered more as a shape in the landscape than a marked stone. It belongs to the late medieval period, when coastal people built small defences against surprise and wanted places where identity could be tested. The name suggests a young woman or girl connected to the castle, perhaps living there, losing someone, or being remembered through the building itself.
