Castle Pallas in County Offaly is an unclassified ruin still visible beside its house. It changed hands from Rory Oge McRorie O Molloy to Francis Blundell in 1612, then to Theobald O Molloy in 1629, and Neale Molloy held it in 1641 before Arthur Ardagh, John Hallam and Sir William Petty took the lands. The Hallam name still lives in Hollimshill, while the castle keeps its own quieter border between memory and forgetting.

In 1612 the lands of Pallas which belonged to Rory Oge McRorie O Molloy were granted tp Francis Blundell including a castle at 'Pallaice'. These lands were granted to Theobald O Molloy in 1629. Its owner in 1641 was Neale Molloy, who lost the lands to Arthur Ardagh, John Hallam, and Sir William Petty. Hollimshill takes its name from the Hallam family.
