Castle appeared on the Down Survey map of 1655-6, yet no clear ruin remains to mark the claim. It probably stood near the church and present house, waiting to be recognized rather than forgotten.

Castle recorded here on Down Survey (1655-6) map. Precise location unknown, but probably in vicinity of church (CW002-007----) and present house.
