Burnafaunia preserves an unclassified castle in County Mayo, yet even its basic identity remains hidden from public view. The absence of facts does not diminish the place; it invites imagination to fill the gap. Perhaps the castle belonged to someone who preferred forgetfulness, or perhaps it resisted classification because ordinary names failed it. Either way, the vacancy becomes a room where curiosity can move freely.
