Ahalana Castle vanished completely, leaving no stone or scar behind. The O'Connor Kerry clan built it beside the Leitrim river, but time and water erased every trace. People still drive past that exact spot on the Listowel/Tarbert road, unaware they cross the ghost of a forgotten fortress.

Ahalana Castle (site of). The castle was situated on the Leitrim river, beside the present bridge on the Listowel/Tarbert road. It was built by the O'Connor Kerry clan.
