Marian and I walked the Toward coast at low tide, past black rocks and green grass, until a broken wall appeared beside Castle Toward. We did not treat the finding as a gift or pretend the camera understood what it had caught. I measured the wall, mapped its gaps and left the unknown parts unnamed.
