Castle (Site of)

Castle, unclassified

What is recorded here

Lecarrow Upper in County Clare once held a castle now reduced to memory and soil. The site resists easy classification, preserving instead the ambiguity of places that outlived their builders. What remains is a gap in the landscape where stone disappeared, inviting imagination to fill the shape of what was lost.
