Castle Hill in Falkirk may have worn a medieval chapel or a 17th-century redoubt, but no surviving feature forces that choice. The hill could have held prayer one century and gunpowder the next, shifting from devotion to defence without warning. People may have climbed it to pray, fought from it to kill, or simply watched the valley change beneath them.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castle Hill, St Ninian's Chapel as Chapel (medieval)(possible), Redoubt (17th Century)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
