What is recorded here
Gateway, erected c. 1850, comprising a pair of cast-iron gate posts and a decorative wrought-iron gate. Wrought-iron railings to either side, forming screen. Located to the northeast side of secondary approach avenue to Castle Forbes (13303001), to the south of the main house/castle.
Simple but well-composed gateway, which retains its early form and character. It forms part of an interesting collection of structures/sites associated with Castle Forbes (13303001) and creates artistic incident along a secondary approach avenue to the main castle/house. The flanking wrought-iron railings add to this composition and complete the setting.
