Castle Columb stands in County Kilkenny as a ruined tower house, its stones still marking the ground where local power once gathered. The exact chamber, stair or room is no longer visible, but the name and form suggest a small fortress built to watch, resist or collect obedience. Whatever lived inside has vanished, leaving only the shape of human ambition buried in Kilkenny soil.
