What is recorded here

Castle Bungalow began as a boat-house at Portledge before moving to Peppercombe in 1926, where it now perches beside Bridge Cottage in a valley the Coffin family has owned since the Middle Ages. The Landmark Trust restored both buildings in 1990, saving them from the same cliff decay that swallowed Peppercombe Castle after 1909. Inside, ordinary life returns: kettles boiling, children shouting, rain striking the roof. The valley keeps giving back what the sea and time take elsewhere.
