Located at the N side of the NW-SE road known as the Sweep, on a W-facing slope. A shale stone (dims. 1.2m x 0.8m x 0.5m) which is not earthfast is lying in a slight hollow. The folk history is now forgotten. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 23 December 2008
