Carew Castle from the west is a castle, fort or tower in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Perhaps its western stones caught storm light before eastern rooms, forcing every visitor to read the build through rain and shadow. Maybe the castle kept more than people, holding the shape of the sea in its walls.

Built by the De Carew family in the 13th century, Carew Castle was later held by the Herbert family, Earls of Pembroke, from the 16th century. It is important as a well-preserved example of medieval and early modern military architecture in Pembrokeshire.
