Gorse and memory have tangled the cairn into a living boundary marker. People walking past may have added stones, feeding it until it became a place where distance could be measured and remembered. The road still passes above it, but the cairn remains the quieter witness, holding the shape of human attention long after the walkers disappeared.

In rough, gorse-covered pasture, on a S-facing slope, directly S of the Lehid-Kilmakilloge road. An oval cairn (5m N-S; 4m E-W; H 0.95m) comprising stones of various shapes and sizes. The smaller stones predominate at the top. The outer limits of the cairn are obscured by a dense growth of gorse. According to a local person, stones were added to this cairn by passers-by in the past. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
