Cairn

Cairn, unclassified

What is recorded here

McNamee named three cairns on Corn Hill in Cornedden, but the third has resisted finding. The first two still exist; the third may have sunk into grass, been broken for wall stone, or never separated in his count. Whatever happened, the hill kept one more mark than the list admits.
McNamee (1942a, 3-4, 24-5) refers to three cairns on Corn Hill in Cornedden townland (see LF005-017---- and LF005-018----). This, the third, cairn was not located. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 21 November 2011
