What is recorded here

Cairn is an unclassified chambered tomb in County Clare, built from local stone during the Neolithic period. People may have placed the dead inside its narrow chamber, then buried the mound around them to mark the field and remember the departed. The chamber is no longer visible, but the broad mound still crosses the landscape like a low ridge made by human hands.
