Circular cairn (diam. 30m; max. H 3.5m) on the summit of Church Mountain. The centre of the cairn has been hollowed out to form an enclosure in which there are the foundations of a church (WI015-029001-) and a well (WI015-029003-). Herity (1974, 258) suggests it may be a passage tomb, but there is no trace of a kerb. Three slabs lie in the SW quadrant. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). Neolithic circular cairn, later reused during the Christian period for a church and well. Its significance lies in the long-term occupation and adaptation of the site, reflecting continuity of sacred or communal use from prehistoric to medieval times.

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
